Graduate School/Faculty System
Through categorizing the graduate schools that go to make up the educational and research organization of the university into educational organizations referred to as “Graduate Schools” and research organizations known as “Faculties,” we are able to prioritize the objectives of education and research through our organizational structure, and to ensure that these organizations are able to flexibly respond to the respective needs of education and research.
In line with the prioritization of postgraduate education, faculty members are affiliated not to conventional undergraduate schools but to postgraduate institutions. These are further divided into educational and research organizations, enabling a diverse range of participation by faculty members in both graduate schools and undergraduate education, beyond the role of their faculties.
