University evaluation
University evaluations are implemented with the purpose of improving university education and research standards, and are a method of evaluating and improving university activities.
As a national university corporation, Kyushu University is legally obliged to undergo National University Corporation Evaluation (hereinafter “Corporation Evaluation”), which is carried out by the National University Corporation Evaluation Committee convened by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Certified Evaluation and Accreditation by an organization certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
○National University Corporation Evaluation
At the end of the 4th year and the final 6th year of the mid-term target period, the National University Corporation Evaluation Committee verifies the implementation status of the items described in the mid-term targets and plans of national university corporations and evaluates the status of their achievements. The assessment of education and research categories, however, is implemented by requesting to the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (hereinafter referred to as NIAD-QE).
The results of the National University Corporation Evaluation are reflected in the calculation of the operational expenditure subsidy for the next six years.
